PMC @ HCMC...
Plant Managers' Conference was held in HCMC recently. We're asked to set up a booth, to sell few items for the club's fund. Thanx to lovely members who came & helped. Others were busy too with their tasks at the Conference/Office etc.. Sales were great, thanx to all, to everyone who helped directly/indirectly. Great job all!!! We hit the jackpot huh..?? One thing I would never forget.. the EMBUNs Family at the booth. Forever EMBUNs.. Please refer to Madam Wati/Mrs Khairul for more stories on Embuns..

COOKING DEMO SESSION..
A cooking demo was held yesterday, Friday, 16 March 2007, 12-2pm, at Somerset Community Room. As requested, Curry Laksa & Onde-Onde was the menu for all. We would like to thank Miss Trinh for her time to demonstrate each step of cooking both Curry laksa & Onde-Onde. The members had so much fun learning & making the dough into small balls to make the Onde-Onde. Everyone had great time & great lunch together, and looking forward for the next cooking session..

RECIPES
CURRY LAKSA
Ingredients:
10 Shallots
3 Garlic
1cm Ginger
1 teaspoon of chilli paste (optional)
~ Blend with 1/2 cup of water=A
3 tablespoon of Chicken Curry Powder
1/2 cup of warm water
~ Mix and form paste=B
1 cup cubed Chicken
8 prawns
3 squids
1 liter of coconut milk
1/2 cup of light tamarind juice
1 tablespoon of Salt (up to you)
1 tablepoon of Sugar (up to you)
Method:
Heat oil in pot. Add A + B and fry. Once they are well fried,
add the cubed chickens, prawns & squids and cook for 2 minutes.
Pour in the coconut milk, tamarind juice and boil in medium heat.
Once they bubbled, put salt and sugar nad cook for another 2 minutes.
Eat with:
Yellow Noodles
Fried Beancurd
Beansprouts
Hardboiled Eggs
Chopped Spring Onion
Fried Shallots

ONDE-ONDE
Ingredients:
Rice Glutinous Flour
Water - enough to form dough
Brown Palm Sugar - diced
Coconut - grated
Method:
Pinch a marble size of dough, put a dice of palm sugar
and roll to form a small size ball.
Put in a pot of boiling water, scoop it out when it's cooked (float).
Roll in grated coconut.
Ready to serve.

International Women's Day
8th March marked the International Women's Day all around the globe. In Vietnam, we could see flowers been sold everywhere, be it in the market or by the roadside and streets. Our club, all along others celebrated, to recognizing the functions of women in the whole world, in all matters, aspects and field. On this special day, the Committee organized a talk on Social Etiquette and Flower Arrangement Competition for members to participate..

CHARITY TET 2007
In conjunction with TET Lunar New Year this year, the Committee decided to organize a charity activity at a disabled shelter which housed the handicapped children from various area around the city and other provinces. During the trip, we gave away some essential and necessity items for daily use in order to help and ease their burden while taking care of the children.
